I’m not sure if my inspiration to create scented candles came out of nostalgia for the childhood days when my entire family was together, or from desire to create the same feelings of comfort for other people. It was just something that was I drawn to. I wanted to create an understated candle that will illuminate people’s lives with comfort, fantasy, and natural beauty.
So dear readers, I’d like to bring Serenity, Boldness, and Clarity to your lives. Tell me if I succeeded.
I really do. That’s why I made sure to include environmentally friendly ingredients and supplies in my product.
All of our candles are made from soybean and coconut wax that come from natural and renewable resources. Our candles comply with the stringent environmental standards, including California Proposition 65.
Our signature boxes are made of recycled paper, and our labels from recycled coffee bags. Each candle comes with a resealable biodegradable lid.
You won’t find paraffin wax, fillers, additives or dyes in Bare candles. Why?
Paraffin candles are made from petroleum, which is a nonrenewable source that contains carcinogenic substances. These substances may be released into the air while burning and are harmful to health.
In 2009, a study by South Carolina State University found that burning paraffin wax candles releases harmful fumes (toluene and benzene) that are linked to asthma and lung cancer.
As I said, I’m just getting started. If my business gets off the ground, and you support me in my endeavor, we can all have more influence about how we treat our senses and our environment.
